Spring clean up will be May 20-May 31. Residents can take items for discard to the village dump located on Spring Street to properly dispose of unwanted items. No hazardous substances should be left at the dump site.
Fundraising has begun for the 2016 National Night Out event. This annual event brings the community together with emergency services to celebrate a night of family friendly activities. New this year is the ability for supporters to make a tax-deductible donation dedicated to the National Night Out (NNO) events. The Chamber of Commerce has pledged to hold the fireworks display at the end of the night. So the Village has agreed to create a fund to accept donations for the purposes of supporting the NNO events.
Donations made to the Village of Bluffton can be earmarked for NNO. The fund will be used to pay for expenses associated with the event. All contributors will receive a letter indicating their tax-deductible donation.
We continue to encourage residents and frequent visitors to consider signing up for notices via NIXLE alert system. We utilize this system during times of emergency or when special notifications need to be issued. If you haven't signed up to receive the free text messages, please visit the ALERTS portion of the website for details on how to set up and activate free text messaging from the Village of Bluffton.
