Bluffton in Bloom

Bluffton in Bloom

The small village of Bluffton, Ohio has more flowers in its community of 4,125 residents than most large and super large cities have. The first time you drive down Main Street, you’ll notice the difference in the look and the feel of this community and that there is something very special going on here. Upon arriving downtown, stunning floral displays greet the eye and lift attention to the hanging baskets secured to light posts and along the street both curbside and next to the buildings. The floral feast for the eyes doesn’t end on Main Street. Containers of flowers can be found around Bluffton University, at municipal buildings and parks. Every container and bed the judges saw were floriferous and provided a unified look to Bluffton. The flowers are lush, large and profuse. They are on the city streets, hanging from light poles, in front yards and back, around businesses, at the churches and on the university campus. Virtually everywhere you look, you will be delighted by beauty and the color, compliments of the addition of flowers to this small village. Community gardens, garden-of-the-month awards, and Monarch Way Stations all add to the displays of flowers in Bluffton. The stunning pots create an inviting downtown business district and make the parents and new college students feel right at home.
